Where did we go wrong in terms of handling our finances?

 There is a particular individual whom we will name Richard that mishandled his finances. He would use all his finances towards engaging in bad habits. Such as smoking and drinking.  Unfortunately, he had not made any investments for himself. He was still living at the comfort of his parents home. The sad bit of it all was he disrespected his parents.  This is an example of the state of our current millenials. They live for today and fail to remember tomorrow. Most of them live by this mantra. YOLO(You only live once).  I believe the mismanagement of finances began once the youth began to be spoonfed.This implies acquiring things without much sweat. Thus,they have no one to guide them on how to manage their finances well.  It also stems down to ignorance.
